10/17/2020 10:40 am - I’m having a hot coffee from Crazy Cups called Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup. I’m sure it’s not Keto friendly. I already decided that this weekend is not a diet weekend. It is the last one before closing up our cottage for the season. I’m supposed to be relaxing and enjoying the lake. Well, I can type and look out over the top of my laptop to see the lake. I think that counts! With the cold Wisconsin weather rolling in rather quickly, I’ve been thinking about ways to extend the outdoor season. Heat lamps and hot tubs are ideal options. There are so many sizes and styles, I’m sure you’ll find one of each to add to your patio or deck. As for hot tubs, how wonderful would it be to have an indoor hot tub in a room that has bifold door panels that can open up fully to the exterior to bring in fresh air, especially if you are on a lake or in the woods among the pines? Okay, I’m staring at my lake again! Here are some hot tub/spa options I found for all budgets: From inflatable to rigid foam sides, these spas from wavetubs.com look great, appear easy to set up, and have great reviews. They range from 449.99 to 999.99. Wayfair.com has the next level of budget friendly hot tubs in the price range of $2000 - $3000 Having some sort of decking for drinks and snacks is a must, but I like the idea of building a hot tub partially into the ground so that you can easily sit on the edge and swing your feet over to get in. It also can help prevent someone from walking alongside it and falling in! Now for some elite luxury options. bullfrogspas lets you customize to your hearts content. Not interested in wearing your bathing suit outside when the temps go down, add these outdoor heaters to keep you toasty warm: Poolwarehouse.com also has a tall heater. This 91 inch heater will provide a true flame adding a moody ambience to your outdoor space. If you’ve ever cooked with propane vs natural gas or electric, you know you can count on faster cooking times. (Let’s not cook you or your guests, but I’m sure you can count on the warmth of this heater.) If you are rebuilding your patio and considering adding a natural gas hook up or if you are fortunate to have a natural gas hook up already, you can have an outdoor gas fireplace or choose a heater from this post which includes natural gas options along with more propane and electric options – TOP 10 BEST Natural Gas Patio heaters in 2020. I hope you are able to enjoy the last bits of color on the trees if you are located in the northern US. My heart goes out to those affected by the wildfires to the West. If only we can share our upcoming snowfall to help douse the fires! As I gaze out at the lake (yes, again), I’m pondering when to get out of my PJ’s and measure the area for a hot tub!
Have a cup of hot chocolate and a wonderful Halloween! Cheers to lions, tigers, and bears…hot chocolate, hot tubs, and heaters, too!
