"Brenda is as sincere as they come! Her clients get a very talented designer who is budget conscious and always has their best interest at heart. I have had the pleasure of working along side her for the last three years, volunteering with Design for a Difference charity makeovers. Her contributions on the non-profit center makeovers have been incredibly memorable and clever!"

"Brenda is a dedicated and talented interior designer who has lent her skills to volunteer on the Design Team for FLOOR360's Design for a Difference interior makeovers of Madison area non-profits for four years. Her contributions and creativity are valued by design team members and non-profit recipients who have benefited from her expertise. Highly Recommend!"
"Brenda helped assist me with colors for painting my home, and ideas for the overall flow of our project. We have a DIY project, and really just needed her opinion and guidance. She was awesome. We have painted and everything looks great!"
"We recently remodeled our lake cottage and hired Brenda of Autumn Light Interiors to help us with window coverings and throw pillows. Met one day to discuss and share some photos/preferences. Brenda got a color swatch from the furniture store that day and had several fabric samples for us to review the very next day. We were thrilled with the perfect fabric to match our sage green couch with a fern pattern that matched the Northwoods atmosphere. Brenda crafted the pillow shams and valances, and ordered the cellular shades for several rooms. We are thrilled with the results - and have already gotten compliments on the look.
Now we are working on layouts for hanging the wood carvings we have accumulated over the years from our travels and ethnic bazaars."
The back porch on my 100+ year old house was extremely ugly and not very functional. It houses my laundry, freezer and litter boxes and also serves as a mudroom. But it had no storage and was a very dark, uninviting place. When this addition was built, they used paneling instead of drywall, which covered almost every surface including the ceiling.
I reached out to Brenda Szarek of Autumn Light Interiors for help.
Brenda started by asking what functionality I needed, took numerous measurements, brought me her color palette and drew up her design plans. She accompanied me when I went shopping for the flooring and wood for the new storage. Knowing what I was looking for, she also shopped for some of the items herself, such as the clothes hanging system and light fixture (which I absolutely love!). Brenda is a very economical shopper and always finds the best deals.
I have difficulty using power tools, so Brenda took the lead in building the shelving and cabinets. She also came up with some unique ideas on how to overcome several obstacles, including changing out the switch on the light fixture so that it would work for this area. She was very thorough in identifying and meeting my needs and tastes.
I am extremely happy with the results! My laundry area has beautiful storage above the washer and dryer. We have plenty of shelving for other items and the litter boxes and laundry bins are nicely tucked away. She also created built-in seating (which our cats love!) so we can sit to remove our winter clothing. And, best of all, she remained on budget!
It is now a bright, inviting place that I feel is the showplace of my home. Brenda's acumen at interior design is exceptional...she sees the potential and brings it to life! I would wholeheartedly recommend her services without reserve.
I am also going to call upon Autumn Light Interiors for my front porch renovation...I can hardly wait!
I would have loved to attach pictures of the before and after - it's such a dramatic change - but I couldn't find a way to do so on this site.
